I’ve actually been building my own high school bundles using the Build Your Own option, but before I share more about that, I want to highlight a few of the bundles that have impressed me the most.
Character Building Bundle
There are two products in this bundle, each of which are valued at the same price as the entire bundle —
- The Parenting Is Heart Work Training Manual – the best-seller from the National Center for Biblical Parenting and
- Making Room for Jesus — a course that shows you how to get rid of mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical clutter
Also included in this bundle are a new unit study set in Ecuador, a notebooking unit from Biblioplan, and host of resources for Bible study and Scripture memory, prayer journals, sermon notes, and tools to help you organize your spiritual life!
This is my favorite bundle for those who are not homeschooling!
Charlotte Mason Inspired Bundle
Look what I found in the Charlotte Mason bundle — The Mystery of History Volume II Audio MP3 (Quarter 1 and 2), plus Wayfarers Medieval History curriculum for all grades, valued at $75!
This bundle also contains a Charlotte Mason-inspired Spanish curriculum, resources for nature and composer study, and Hymn study set!
Elementary Bundle #1
This bundle contains THREE products that are at least as valuable as the the cost of the entire bundle:
- Trail Guide to Learning Paths of Exploration Unit 1 from Geography Matters
Grammar Galaxy Nebula Digital Kit
Uncle Rick Reads Stories of Famous Men and Women K-2 History Curriculum
Plus this bundle also packs a valuable punch with The Mystery of History Volume I Audio MP3 (Quarter 1 and 2), a fun notebooking project from BiblioPlan that guides students on a tour of all fifty U.S. states, a Maestro Classics audiobook, a fun online unit study, character building resources, a spelling curriculum, an American Sign Language Super Bundle, and more! And that’s just in Bundle #1. There are 3 more bundles for Elementary grades!
Upper Grades Bundle #1
Both of the Upper Grades Bundles are quite impressive this year. In fact, I’m tempted just to buy them both and skip building my own bundle. If there weren’t a few products in other bundles that I really love, that’s exactly what I would do.
- Your highschooler can earn 4-5 credits with the curriculum found in this Upper Grade Bundle!
- Make the whole college application process easier and help prepare your teen for college with Homeschooling High School with College in Mind.
- Your students can become savvy money managers with the financial literacy high school curriculum.
PLUS This bundle includes a complete online high school history and government course, a complete art curriculum, writing curriculum, music appreciation curriculum, and more!
Upper Grades Bundle #2
Your highschooler can earn 6+ credits with the engaging, high-quality curriculum found in this bundle! It includes:
- A complete history curriculum
- A complete biology curriculum
- A complete health/social sciences curriculum
- A complete writing curriculum
- A complete English course
PLUS a complete art curriculum from Cathy Duffy Top Pick publisher “How Great Thou Art,” character building resources, and much MORE!
Healthy Families Bundle
A new addition to the line-up this year is this bundle for healthy living. At just $9.95, it’s a great deal for those of us interested in learning more about optimizing the health and wellness of our families. Here is some of what you’ll find in this bundle:
- Ready for some real food magic? Transform your own family-favorite recipes by ditching the boxes and cans and using 100% real food with Better Than a Box.
- Break free from the cereal box and fuel your day the right way with The Healthy Breakfast Book that contains over 50 family-friendly, very doable real food recipes.
- Study a brief history of nutrition science with your children, what foods we should eat, what foods we shouldn’t eat, macro and micronutrients, and more in Real Nutrition, Real Food.
- Also included in this bundle is the Kid Friendly Freezer Meal Plan, healthy snacks recipes, and a book that many will appreciate – Farewell, Fatigue.
Unit Studies Bundle
I’m a unit studies mom from way back, so I couldn’t possibly skip this bundle, besides it contains a few that we have used in Ben’s younger years. You’ll find 3 unit studies from Amanda Bennett, one from Homeschool Legacy, 4 from Adventure Homeschool, plus several more. All total, there are 14 unit studies in this bundle priced at $9.95.
Build Your Own Bundles
There are 3 options for Build Your Own Bundles this year, and one of the options is a HUGE change!
Pick 5 for $25 — with this Build Your Own, you will choose 5 products priced at $19.99 and below.
Pick 10 for 10 for $39 — with this Build Your Own, you will choose 10 products priced at $19.99 and below.
Pick ANY 5 for $39 — with this Build Your Own, there is no price cap; you can choose from all the products! (this is a new option this year, and my favorite!)
You’ll want to know that the BUY 2 GET 1 FREE works for the Build Your Own Bundles, too. For those of you, like me, with smaller families, or old students, this may be your (and my) best option for the sale.
Here are just a few more tips as you are navigating the sale:
Take your time; you have a total of 2 days to make your choices. But don’t take so much time that you forget to place your order. When they say the sale ends on September 1 at 9pm ET, they mean it. There are no exceptions made.
Look over each of the pre-made bundles carefully. They are your best deals, starting at just $9.95 and up to 96% off retail. It may be worth purchasing some bundles for products you need next year or the year after that. Build Your Bundle rarely allows repeat products in the sale (thre are no repeats this year of previous years at all), so if you see something you want, get it now.
Know that you may not need or want everything in a particular bundle. But that at these tremendous prices, they may still be worth purchasing for the books you do want.
Remember that when you buy 2 bundles, you will get one free. And yes, that means that if you buy 4 bundles, you will get two free. Don’t make the mistake of just buying 2 bundles and not grabbing your free one!
There are 3 different options for building your own bundles, at 3 different price points. With only one child, it’s hard for me to find the perfect pre-made bundle for our needs. Being able to build my own is perfect. Being able to build 3 for the price of 1 is a huge bonus. The Pick 5 for $39 will probably be your best deal because there are no price caps on the products. You will get more bang for your buck with that one, especially if you BUY 2, GET 1 FREE.
I hope that this post helps you navigate the Build Your Bundle sale successfully. This sale is a tremendous blessing, and hopefully now you will be able to save as much money as possible while purchasing the homeschool curriculum you need.
The two most common questions I hear are these:
Are these ebooks?
The answer is yes. They are mostly PDF digital files or online courses. Can you imagine these publishers sending out print books at these prices to thousands of people? They would go bankrupt.
How do I keep up with the ebooks? I forget about them.
I wrote an article about this last year that you might find helpful. I’ll just point you to it. 3 Reasons to Buy eBooks and How to Organize Them.
