With Father’s Day just a week away, I’ve been looking around for ideas of what surprises I can find for my husband, that will also be beneficial to our family. He has plenty of ties and tools, you know?
Here are a few ideas I have and it occurred to me that you might benefit from my ideas as well. It seems that we all struggle with that perfect gift idea for Dad.
Made by Dad: 67 Blueprints for Making Cook Stuff looks super cool. According to the description, it is “clever, whimsical, and kind of genius,” with 67 unique projects that will turn any dad with DIY leanings into “a mad scientist hero that his kids will adore.” And who doesn’t want that? I love when I can find project ideas that Ben and his dad can work on together.
Camp Board Game is a great manly way to get those outdoors-loving Dads to play a game with the kids. And it’s a game that can be played by kids of all ages, too.
The Lord of the Rings is a huge hit at our house, whether we’re reading the books or watching the movies. This trilogy set will give you all 3 DVDs for some great family movie nights with Dad.
This Coleman Tent is the gift I’m seriously considering for the Dad at our house this Father’s Day. We are new to the idea of camping weekends, but I have a dream of spending more time at our State Parks this summer. It’s definitely roomy enough for the 3 of us, and since it can sleep 6, hopefully it will work for many of you as well.
Please share what ideas you have for spoiling Dad this Father’s Day!
Amazon Fire TV gives the whole family options for enjoying over 200,000 TV episodes and movies on Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and HBO GO, plus games, music, and more. The tiny box connects to your HDTV and also allows you to mirror your phone or tablet to your TV. Dads love this device (at least the one in our house does!)
