Tea Tree Acne Treatment Serum

I went on a search for ideas for how to make an acne serum myself (his favorite part of that system was a little tube of product that was dotted directly on blemishes to clear them up. He just washes his face now with a face wash I make with witch hazel, lavender, and melaleuca. But he wanted something to treat those extra blemishes. This one works as well, if not better, than the one we were paying a lot of money for before. I think the tamanu oil takes this  blend to another level. It is an amazing oil for the skin.

Tea Tree Essential Oil Acne Treatment Serum

Makes 2 ounce bottle (10% dilution)

  • 1.5 oz grapeseed oil
  • 2 tsp tamanu oil
  • 30 drops melaleuca (tea tree) essential oil
  • 30 drops lavender essential oil
  • 2 ounce glass bottle (like these)

Add all ingredients to a 2 oz glass bottle and gently swirl to mix. Apply to blemishes 2 times a day. Ben also applies this daily to the area of his forehead where he gets the most breakouts, after cleansing his face.

Precautions

Never use essential oils undiluted, in the eyes or mucus membranes. Do not ingest unless working with a qualified practitioner. Keep essential oils away from children. If applying an essential oil to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the oil in an appropriate carrier oil).
