I’ve been writing a lot lately about essential oils. I was skeptical at first, when so many people I know were extolling the virtues of them, but I have found so many benefits to using them with my family, that it’s hard not to share about that. When I started using essential oils a couple of years ago, to hopefully find relief from some of my pain symptoms associated with Lupus and Fibromyalgia, I began not only a journey to find the right essential oils to help Ben and me, but also to find the right essential oils company from which to buy.
In my research, the first thing I discovered is that MLM oils, like Young Living and doTerra, while likely very good quality, were not the end all, be all of the essential oils world they would have you believe. They are more expensive, require a membership in order to save any money (and thus the requirement to spend a minimum amount to stay active), and often promote unsafe use of essential oils (ie: ingestion, using undiluted, etc.). I knew that I wanted a different option. Never use essential oils undiluted, in the eyes or mucus membranes. Do not ingest unless working with a qualified practitioner. Keep essential oils away from children.
