Great news for members of SchoolhouseTeachers.com! Now that they have achieved the designation of a “full curriculum” for grades K-12, they have put together what they call “School Boxes.” School Boxes are basically online homeschool curriculum boxes with suggestions of courses your students can take for a full year of learning – you can just open your computer or tablet and go!
If you are not familiar with SchoolhouseTeachers.com, let me tell you a bit about it. ST is a membership site with more than 450 courses for grades Pre-K through 12. They are constantly adding new courses all the time, so that number grows often. For one very reasonable price, your family gets access to all of the course. Every course, for all of your students, for one price. Everything is self-contained on their website (online access through your computer or tablet), with downloadable PDFs, videos, and more. Not all courses have video, but man do. You also get access to World Book, hundreds of streaming videos, planning tools, and a subscription to the print issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. There are no other books to buy; everything is included in that price. It’s absolutely the best deal in homeschooling I’ve ever see, and we have been members since they began about 8 years ago.
The School Boxes are a new feature, and while we didn’t get the benefit of using that in our own homeschool, it’s something I’ve been excited to know was coming. I think it will revolutionize the use of this site for its members. I hope you’ll spend some time perusing both this article and their site as well. It can be overwhelming with so many offerings, but this really breaks it down well.
Online Homeschool Curriculum Boxes
I’m going to share here what the recommendations are for each grade, to make it super easy for you to see the vast variety of this membership site. With over 450 courses offered, there is something for everyone, and not everything offered will be found in these recommendations. I will make some “extra” suggestions based on our own experiences at the bottom of this article.
To make it super easy for you, each School Box has its own curriculum guide. You can see a sample of those here.

If you’re homeschooling preschool, don’t miss the Preschool Playground. The Preschool Playground is filled with fun learning for Bible, Language Arts, Math Preparation, Manners, Arts, Crafts, Music, Science, Social Studies, and more. You will love what the Preschool Playground has to offer.
Unit Studies
You’ll see that in the elementary boxes, “unit studies” are often listed. Since unit studies were the base of our homeschooling in the elementary and middle school years, this is one part of the membership site I don’t want you to gloss over. Should you have any questions, I answer the 10 most common questions I get here. If you have any others, feel free to reach to me via my email contact form or social media. I’m happy to help.
Current Promo
I will try to do my best to leave information about current promos for SchoolhouseTeachers.com here at the bottom of this post. If what you see is expired, go ahead and click over to see what special they may have going on. They have them frequently, sometimes for a few days or a week, sometimes for an entire month. But as I mentioned above, you can always use my special code: BENANDME for a great price on the Ultimate Monthly Membership (a savings of over 50%) or code: benandmeq for a great price on the Ultimate Quarterly Membership (a savings of over 45%). These codes never expire.
The current promo ending September 6,2021 is the best deal of the year – the BOGO sale.
Use the code: EXPLORE to get an Ultimate Yearly Membership for TWO years for the price of one. Actually, it’s an even better deal than that, because they have discounted the price to just $179 (from the regular price of $224.97 for one year). That means you’re getting the amazing price of just under $90 per year!
The really great news is that your discounted rate will be locked in for the lifetime of your membership! Shop here
