The new Passport Geography series by Amanda Bennett was released today with Passport United Kingdom as it’s premier unit study.
Passport Geography combines what’s great about both the Unit Study Adventures and Download N Go lines. These units are written at 2 levels–Scout (K-6) and Explorer (7-12). They are similar to Download N Go with videos, clickable links, and a lapbook for the Scout level.
You can take a peak at the first day of United Kingdom Scout here and United Kingdom Explorer here.
From their website:

I was able to take a sneak peak at United Kindgom Scout, and we are so excited to get started with this unit. We’re saving it to do as a part of our Olympics study since the 2012 Olympics are being held in London. But I can promise you, Ben (and you) will love this unit. I found it to be a complete study including geography, history, science, and some language arts as well as fun food, art, and famous landmarks.! There’s an exhaustive booklist, categorized by subject and fiction/nonfiction and get this, a list of free and cheap apps! Similar to Download N Go, there’s a beautifully created lapbook to wrap up your study and save for review or showing Dad what was learned during the week.
The Scout unit is very meaty. If you have children ranging from K up to even 8th grade, you could use this level. In fact it’s so thorough and full, I probably wouldn’t recommend using it for just K-2 unless you can spread it over a longer period of time, say 2-3 weeks. Your littles could go along for the journey with their older siblings just fine though. Just plan to teach it to them again when they’re older.
As a huge fan of all things Amanda Bennett, I think I can safely say I have a new favorite product!
If you are spending some time studying the world, get your passports ready and join in the adventure. You will feel like you have experienced the sights, sounds, and culture of the United Kingdom, without ever leaving your schoolroom.
Right now, you can purchase Passport United Kingdom for $5.95 each or $8.95 for the combo.
