Can you believe it? We’ve made it all the way through the alphabet and today is the last day of this edition of Blogging through the Alphabet. I am so excited to have made it through the challenge of blogging every week  with just a letter of the alphabet as the inspiration.
To be honest, I’m really tired tonight, and I so wanted to say the Z is for Zero . . . as in, “I have nothing to say!” But I couldn’t let this amazing 26 weeks end like that.
Since getting Ben to horse camp this morning prevented me from having my quiet time, so tonight, I picked up my Scripture journal and started reading from previous entries. I happened upon a page where I had spent some time in Zechariah.
Have you re ad Zechariah? I mean purposefully read from this book? I have to admit I haven’t really studied it much. But on this particular day, I had jotted down some verses that I wanted to remember. Today, I will share them with you!

“Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the LORD. (Zech. 2:10)

And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name, the only one. (Zech.14:9)

This is what the LORD Almighty said: “Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.” (Zech. 7:9)

This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.” (Zech. 3:7)

But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. (Zech. 7:11)

Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone. (Zech. 10:1)

And most importantly, the key verse of Zechariah’s prophecy of the coming Messiah:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your Q)’>endowed with salvation,
S)’>colt, the foal of a donkey.
10
I will U)’>horse from Jerusalem;
And the W)’>peace to the nations;
And His i]’>[i]River to the ends of the earth.
(Zech 9:9-10)
blessings,
