Winter "storm" 2010

We’ve had a winter storm warning out for 2 days. We filled our home with groceries, made sure we had snow pants that fit the boy, made plans to do our Winter Unit Study, so that we could study snowflakes and avalanches and make snow cream and sugar on snow. We waited…..and finally, it started snowing at around 7:30 this morning. I would hardly call it a winter storm, but we do have a couple of inches on the ground and it is pretty. I suppose the most important thing is that Ben is happily playing outside, enjoying the snow. I’m not sure where I’ll scrape up enough clean snow to make the snow cream and candy, but we’ll figure that out later! For now, it’s snowballs, followed by warming up by the fire with hot cocoa, and repeat.
