Today, I’m back with more information about juicing and the great health benefits that you can enjoy. I’m sure you’ve thought a lot about parasites since yesterday’s article, and for that I’m really sorry. But it’s never my plan to mince words when it comes to getting healthy, and sadly, sometimes that means talking about uncomfortable things like parasites. Fortunately, there is something you can do about it if you have them.

Juicing is the best way to cleanse and detox your body naturally, helping to rid your body of parasites.

Your body is bombarded with toxins on a daily basis. They’re in the air, in our cleaning products, on our clothes, and in many cases in and on the food that we put into our bodies. What’s more is that we make them stronger and worse by our overuse of antibiotics and prescription drugs. If you have any symptoms of parasites or you are suffering from Candida — an overgrowth of yeast — you can get relief with juicing.

Juicing Is the Best Way to Cleanse and Detox Your Body NaturallyJuicing provides a valuable source of live enzymes that are essential to your digestive process. Unfortunately the standard American diet (SAD) often strips our bodies of these important digestive enzymes and good intestinal flora (bacteria) that keep the gut healthy and digestion working smoothly. Juicing can help you add back these important enzymes and improve your gut flora by cleansing and detoxing your body in a natural way.

The wonderful thing about juicing is that it’s not an all or none solution. You can go all out and try for a 60 day juice “feast” like in the documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead (please, please only do this under the supervision of your doctor), super juice yourself for 28-days like Jason Vale recommends in Super Juice Me, or you can simply add a fresh juice or two to your normal daily routine. You’ll see benefits either way. Often called, “The Godfather of Fitness” Jack LaLanne didn’t advocate juicing for long periods of time, but rather adding it to your daily life to increase health and vitality.

It’s up to you how you want to proceed. If you already eat very healthy and control refined carbohydrates and sugars you will see a lot of benefit to adding a glass or two of fresh juice to your day. If you have a typical standard American diet (SAD), you may want to choose to try an all-out detox on your system by juice fasting (most people can safely do this for 72 hours) to get the most detox benefits. Juicing isn’t about deprivation. If you choose to do a long-term juice of 72 hours you are supposed to drink as much fresh vegetable juice as you desire along with a lot of fresh filtered water. If you are diabetic, you’ll will need to be very careful about adding fruits to your juices, and should consult with your doctor before juicing at all.

A simple combination of cucumber, carrot, spinach or kale, and apple can be made to your taste preference that you can enjoy. You don’t have to get super fancy. If you find a juice recipe you like that is high in veggies and low in sugar, then stick to that. You want to be careful about drinking too many high sugar juice recipes, but if you do not have issues with blood sugar (diabetes), at first it is okay to add extra carrot, apple, or pear so that you can tolerate it, adding more greens each time you make it. If you’re feeling creative, add in a Meyer lemon and some ginger. I add lemon and ginger to almost all of my juices, especially the green ones. Lemon does a great job of cutting the “grassy” taste that can occur when juicing leafy greens like kale and spinach.

If you believe that you have parasites, try sticking to a juice fast for at least 14 days  for the very best results. If you have any health issues, it is best to do this under the supervision of your doctor. Alternatively, drink one or two juices a day, along with consuming only raw or lightly steamed fruits and veggies during the 14 days. Drink and eat as much as you want without deprivation as long as you are not eating processed foods of any kind. Parasites love dairy, sugar, meat, and grains. So eliminating those during your cleanse is important.

Stop back by tomorrow. I’ll be sharing some things you should know before you start juicing.

Please know that this is my own personal story and the information I have gathered from my own research and experience. I am not a nutritionist or a doctor (nor do I play either one on TV).
