What’s a PJ run you ask? Well, it’s a really fun, memory-making activity that your children are guaranteed to love and love you for! Here’s how it works.

1. Get your kiddos ready for bed, put on jammies, brush teeth, read a story, say prayers, tuck them in and turn out the lights.
2. Whether or not you put on your jammies is up to you. Personally, I don’t.
3. Before they’re good and asleep, run through the house like a maniac, banging a pot with a wooden spoon, yelling, “PJ run! PJ run!”
4. Before they know what’s going on, scoop them up into the car and head to your favorite ice cream place (for us this is Dairy Queen, but Sonic works well too).

5. Order your favorite treat.
6. Enjoy your special time with your kids, the wonderful giggles, smiles on their faces, and thank you mommas you are sure to get for this one.
7. Drive home and tuck them back into bed. They’ll fall asleep with a sweet memory and hopefully pleasant dreams. And you, my friend, will be the coolest momma around 🙂
