Just when I thought the Instant Pot was the end all, be all of new and relevant kitchen appliances, along comes the air fryer. I don’t actually have an air fryer yet (it’s on my Christmas list), but I suspect I will have one by year-end. And because I’m already looking toward January and rejuvenating my healthy lifestyle, I’ve started compiling some healthy air fryer recipes so I’ll be all ready to go. So basically, this post is for me. But because I like to share, I’m compiling them all here for you, too.

For those of you new to the idea of the air fryer, let me tell you what attracted me to the idea of using one to begin with.

3 Reasons to Buy an Air Fryer

The Air Fryer is a less messy way to cook.

The air fryer uses hot air in combination with high-speed air circulation (rapid hot air) to prepare a variety of tasty dishes in a fast and easy way. Because air fryers work by circulating hot air, there is no splatter or mess and thus little clean up necessary after using it.

The Air Fryer uses little to no oil.

I like a good, healthy oil as much as the rest of the butter-loving world, and I make sure to add them to my diet. But calories still count, friends, so if I can get buy with making some of my favorite dishes with little to no oil, I’m all in. Imagine French fries, onion rings, steak, roasted potatoes, vegetables, and more. The air fryer is perfect for frying, baking, grilling and roasting with little to no oil.

The Air Fryer saves time in the kitchen.

Air fryers are an efficient way to cook because they can heat from room temperature to over 300 degrees in less than three minutes, cutting cooking time dramatically. No more waiting until the oil heats up or the oven preheats. The air fryer saves time.

Now that you can see what has sold me on cooking with the air fryer, have fun checking out all the incredible healthy air fryer recipes I have found. I can’t wait to get started making them and creating my own! (Could someone make sure my husband buys one for me please?)
