I just returned from the Midwest Homeschool Convention in Cincinnati. I’m exhausted, my feet hurt, and my brain is just full of all kinds of thoughts, ideas, hopes, and dreams inspired by wonderful speakers, such as Amanda Bennett, Andrew Pudewa, Catherine Levinson, Cathy Duffy, and Jim Weiss, to name a few. There’s nothing like a homeschool conference to get you motivated about homeschooling again. But wow! is it exhausting!
After 2 nights in a hotel, a 2 hour drive to get there and and another 2 to get home, a total of 8 restaurant and food counter meals, and all of the walking, I wish someone would just bring the conference to me.
But wait! Someone is! Yes, friends, you, too, can enjoy all of the benefits of a homeschool conference, from the comfort of your own homes! Brought to you by The Old Schoolhouse (TOS), and brimming with it’s own set of wonderful speakers, TOS has taken out the all of the travel time and expense, and more importantly, all of the walking!
The TOS “webinar” has an impressive list of speakers, including Amanda Bennett, Andrew Pudewa, Susan Wise Bauer, Sue Patrick, Diana Waring, Lee Binz, Todd Wilson, Heather Laurie, Karen “Spunky” Braun, Mark Hamby, and many others! These are many of the same speaker we had in Cincinnati!. There will also be 2 bonus days in April with my sweet friend, Malia Russell (April 13) and the Clarksons (April 29).
The cost is about $25, you can listen to whichever speakers you choose, and once the conference is over, all of the sessions will be available to download to your mp3 player (included in the price).
What an awesome opportunity for all us, but especially for those of you who have not been able to attend a homeschool conference before. There will even be a virtual vendors’ hall, door prizes, and 30 free downloads from TOS!
If you’re interested, you can find more information and sign up here. And if you’d like to win a free admission to the conference, check out Malia Russell’s contest here, and while you’re there, be sure to check out Malia’s website, Homemaking 911!
