Sometimes, with the busyness of homeschool days, we forget to take the time to just snuggle up with our kids. I know that many nights, by the time Ben goes to bed, I am so exhausted, I just want some downtime.
But, honestly, some of the sweetest moments of the day occur, after he’s asleep and I go lie down next to him, stroke his hair and watch him sleep. This is the time I spend praying over him, pouring out my heart to the God who loves him more than I do, confessing my failures and begging for the grace and diligence I will need for the next day. And even though Ben sleeps right through it, it is one of my favorite times of the day.
