Eric Liddell carried a piece of paper with this verse in his hand while he ran his gold medal 400m race in the 1924 Paris Olympics. He had refused to run on Sundays, giving up the chance to win a medal in his best event, the 100m.
The life of Eric Liddell is portrayed in the movie, Chariots of Fire. We plan to watch this movie as a family this weekend. We are looking forward to hearing more of the story of this amazing man of God.
