In my life this week…

From a tummy virus to the flu. Ugh!  Ben has had a fever for 7 days, horrible cough, sleepless nights. Tom now has it as well. Thus far, I’ve been spared, which is a miracle. Instead of getting the flu, I fell in a freakish accident last weekend and have a pretty bad sprained ankle/foot. I’ve never seen bruising quite like this either. Needless to say, not much has been accomplished around here!

In our homeschool this week…
We’re just getting back to school today. Ben has just been too sick to worry with school. We’re setting Expedition Canada aside for now to work on Expedition Mexico for our co-op’s Geography Fair this Saturday.

Places we’re going; people we’re seeing…
We’ve been cooped up this week with all the sickness. I did get in a Girl’s Night Out the very night Ben started getting sick.  Dinner out with some awesome girlfriends was such a blessing.  We had to miss co-op for the 2nd week in a row.

My favorite thing this week was…
We did manage to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Tom’s birthday this week.  So there are 2 favorite things.  The first would be the lovely dozen red roses my boys surprised me with. The second would be the butter kuchen I was able to surprise my hubby with! Oh, and that night Ben slept for 15 hours was pretty good as well!

What’s working/not working for us…
Download N Go, especially the Expedition series, is working so well for our around the world study this year!

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
What do you all do when you have sick kids or a sick momma? Does school go on as usual, or do you take as much time off as you need to heal?

A photo to share…
