Ben and I will begin our Artist of the Month study this week, with my favorite artist, Vincent Van Gogh. There are several resources we’ll be using to learn about different artists and their art work.
One of my absolute favorite books is The Usborne Art Treasury. In this book you’ll find information about different artists, a picture of one of their famous works, and an art project inspired by that work. The projects are fairly easy to imitate and very fun!
My favorite website for looking at online pictures of artwork is Olga’s Gallery. Here you’ll find more than 10,000 works of art, with information about the art and their creators. Here is a slideshow of Van Gogh’s work I created from the pictures on this website.
