Nothing brings a parent more joy than the day her child realizes his own sin and his need for Jesus. For Ben, that process has been ongoing for a couple of years now. But on October 3, 2010, he shared with those he loves, his decision to follow Christ.

“I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” ~1 Samuel 1:27-28

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved ~Romans 10:9-10

“I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirt….”

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…~II Corinthians 5:17-18

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” ~Luke 22:19

In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. ~Luke 22:20

Pastor Scott presents Ben with a new Bible

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. ~Psalm 119:105

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! ~Philippians 4:4
