It seems I have always been looking for gift ideas for kids. When my husband and I were first married, our (his) nephews were active young boys. Each Christmas, I asked for a Christmas list, and every year it was met with hems and haws and statements such as, “we’ll love anything you give us!” While I very much appreciated the sentiment, it was a struggle sometimes to come up with great gift ideas for these boys we loved so much and wanted to thrill when they opened our gifts. 

Yes, we could have just passed a cash envelope to each of them (and now that they are adults, we often do), it just wasn’t nearly as fun as the year they each received Sony Walkmans!
