It’s finally convention week!
I’ve been sharing with y’all that Ben and I are heading down to Nashville for the Teach Them Diligently Convention.
Last week, I introduced you to my wonderful sponsor, National Center for Biblical Parenting. A couple of weeks ago, I gave you some tips for convention going — Fun, Friends, Field Trips, Fellowship, Food, and Fantastic Finds. I also shared with you my Grab It and Go List of things to take with you to a homeschool convention.
This week, I want to expand on the Friends part. Because as much as I love the vendor hall and the blessing of hearing some amazing speakers, my very favorite part of the convention is the friends part.
All year long, I read blogs and interact with folks via my own blog and social media platforms. I have made some incredible real life friends in this manner. I’ve also made some great not-in-real-life friends. And this week when I go to Nashville, I’m going to get to see and meet so many of them. It’s one of the most exciting parts of this journey.
As members of the TTD blogger network, many of us interact almost daily. We share struggles (and joys!), pray for and encourage each other, brainstorm ideas, and, in the process, become friends. These bloggers inspire me.
I know. It sounds weird. But surely you know someone who met online and ended up getting married, so this probably isn’t too far-fetched for your imagination, right?
And now, I will get to spend time with them, hug their necks, and even hear a few of them speak at the convention. Between that and the many sessions I’ve marked at those I want to attend, I expect that the inspiration will fill my cup and overflow all around me all weekend long.
Today, I want to share with you some of the bloggers I will get to meet, greet, and hang out with. And if you’ll be in Nashville, too, leave a comment for me letting me know so. I’ll be wearing a pink name tag around my neck. If you see me, I’d love it if you said hi. Oh, and most of these beautiful blogging mavens will have on pink name tags as well, with their names and blog names. Say hi to them, too! You might even see some of us in pink t-shirts, identifying us as TTD bloggers!
These are the bloggers that are already my “in real life” friends. Can’t wait to see them again!
