Middle School Summer Reading for Classical Kids

I wouldn’t characterize our homeschool as a classical model, but I sure do love to fill our book basket with classical literature.  Below you’ll find a list of books that I expect Ben will have read before he enters high school. Because things can be so crazy during the school year, and much of our homeschool is rich in living literature, summer is the perfect time for him to spend checking these books off his list.

If you’re looking for some good quality selections for summer reading for middle school students, I think you’ll enjoy this one. It was heavily influenced by our local classical Christian school where many homeschool families take advantage of an enrichment program.
