I’ve been scouring the internet looking for all of the summer reading programs in our area. Along with our local library’s program, several bookstores are offering prizes for keeping your students reading this summer.
Barnes and Noble
Children choose a free book after reading 8 books, between May 25 and Sep 7, and tracking them in the Passport to Summer Reading.
Borders
Children choose a free book after reading 10 books and recording them on the Double Dog Dare form. Deadline is Aug 26.
Half Price Books
Children can earn a $3 gift card, each week that they read for 15 minutes a day, June 1-July 31.
Books-a-Million
Children who read 6 of the Magic Tree House books, between May 20 and Aug 1, will be awarded with a Magic Tree House tote. A passport can be picked up at any of the store locations, or may be downloaded from the website.
