I recently shared with you about all the reasons I think Bible journaling is beneficial.
I’m often on the look-out for “supplies” to make Bible coloring and journaling more creative and more fun. Soon after I published the post on the benefits, a company called KJV Bibles reached out to me and offered to show me one of their Bibles and some of their supplies. I might have leaped for joy at the idea of coloring pencils, pens, stickers, and more coming my way, and once they arrived, I wasn’t disappointed. Let me share with you what they have because a one-stop shop where you can get the most beautiful Bibles AND all the supplies you need to create is just about perfect. And if you are a KJV Bible lover, you’ll really want to meet this company.
The Best Supplies for Bible Journaling Creativity
KJV Bible sent along a few things – some I was familiar with something similar, but they also sent a couple of things I had never used for Bible journaling. Here’s what I received:
Bible Journaling Coloring Stickers
I never thought to use coloring stickers during my Bible journaling time before. I have used similar stickers in my planner though, so I’m surprised I never thought about using them. The pack that KJV Bibles sent to me has 6 different sheets that included everything from pretty flowers to banners, religious symbol and words such as “Don’t worry, pray,” “Let your faith be bigger than your fear,” “Strength, “Praise God,” “Wisdom.” If you like the idea of Bible journaling, but you’re not particularly artistic, you’ll really appreciate the ability to add beautiful pictures and words to your Bible with having to draw them yourself. The stickers are colorable, so you’ll still be using your creative skills to make them beautiful!
Bible Journaling Coloring Pens and Pencils
I’ve used a lot of coloring pens and pencils for Bible journaling over the past few years, and I’m picky about them. KJV Bibles carries products from the Veritas line, of which I was familiar and already impressed with. Their Micro-Line color pens were already among my favorites because the color is vibrant and then don’t smudge or bleed through to the backside of the page. There is nothing worse than pens that bleed through and ruin your Bible.
I had not tried the Veritas brand of pencils, however. As a homeschool mom, you might be able to guess which line of coloring pencils I’ve been faithful to all these years, so KJV was going to be hard-pressed to convince me to like more the Veritas coloring pencils. But I do like them, especially at this price point. The color lays well on the page, and are easy to use for layering and shading.
I also received the Veritas Gel Pen set. Gel pens have traditionally been my favorite pens for Bible journaling because gel lays on top the page and never bleeds through. I always know I can trust it. And just as with the other Veritas products, these don’t disappoint. The colors are vibrant and then come in a travel case, which is a bonus.
Bible Journaling Washi Tape
Another product I’ve often used in my planner but never in Bible journaling is Washi Tape. And y’all, the Blossoms of Blessings Washi Tape that KJV Bibles carries is so lovely. I imagine these beautiful florals add gorgeous colors will add a special touch to your Bible journaling. But, I’ve actually been using this washi tape in my planner all of April because of the gorgeous floral motif (it’s spring y’all!). But I know the occasion will come soon when I want to use them in my Bible as well.
Journaling Bibles
As you might imagine, a company called KJV Bibles might actually carry Bibles as well. And they do carry some lovely ones. I already have the My Creative Bible they carry. But they sent a new one to me – the My Promise Journaling Bible.
I find the prices at of these Bibles to be very competitive, so no worries there. So, if you’re looking for journaling Bibles and supplies to go along with them, I trust you’ll find what you need at a price that will make you happy here.
