I love books.
My husband jokingly refers to our living room as “The Library of Marcy” (think Library of Congress).
It has taken me years to collect all of the treasures housed on our walls of bookshelves. I am always looking for ways to add to our library collection in a cost-effective manner. I wish I had known about this resource years ago. It likely would have saved me some time. And money.
“Fill your bookshelves without emptying your wallet.” Love.
Homeschool Library Builder is a “Christian, family-run book business dedicated to providing good literature at affordable prices” owned by 2 homeschool moms. They stock new and used books, both hardcover and softcover.
The website is super easy to navigate, with categories such as fiction, nonfiction, classics, holidays and seasons, inspirational, science, and story books. You’ll even find homeschool teacher resource books.
If you use a literature-based homeschool curriculum, you’ll find categories for some of those as well. Represented are the following curriculum companies:
You can also search by age or geographical location.
Homeschool Library Builder has a membership program. It is free to join. For each dollar you spend on merchandise, you earn a Book Point. Fifteen book points is equal to $1 in your account to use toward future purchases. The more you purchase, the more you earn! Be sure to tell them I referred you! (Marcy Crabtree)
There are always awesome sales and special promotions going on. For this month, they are offering 25% off EVERYTHING! The great news about this is that there are NO coupon codes AND other discounts and coupons CAN be applied. Book Points and gift cards also MAY be applied. Plus, if you spend $25 or more, you can receive the book, Of Earth and Sky, totally free (quantities are limited).
One of my favorite features of their website (besides the great prices on books, of course!) is the Spotlight on the Season, a homeschool-friendly calendar, marking holidays, celebrations, and “national days,” with corresponding activities and lesson plans.
Be sure to click over and join now, so you don’t miss the monthly sales and promotions, or the Spotlight on the Season.
