I happened upon this meme today and thought it looked fun. With all of the summer reading programs out there that we’re trying to keep up with, I thought this would be a great way to keep track each week of what Ben is reading. His list includes a combination of picture books (because we still love them!) and chapter books (because he always has at least one going).
Here’s what Ben has been reading this week:
Ben fell in love with this author when he read Flaming Arrows during our Davy Crockett unit. I don’t think he’ll stop until he’s read everything William O. Steele has written!
Ben is actually listening to this book. Have you seen these new Playaways? They’re like mp3 players with an audio book already preloaded. We have them at our library. All we do is add headphones! Very cool! He listens during quiet time, while playing with Legos, in the car….we love audio books!
We’re currently doing Amanda Bennett’s Dogs unit study, so the next few books are dog-focused. Not that we need to be learning about dogs for my boy to want to read about dogs!
