Yes, I’m one of those homeschool moms that turns everything into a unit study. But with the Winter Olympics, why not? The games are filled with historical context, sports, famous people, geography, and more. It’s really the perfect subject for a unit study.

So I’m been scouring the internet looking for books, curriculum, printables and more that can be used primarily for kids who are a little older — say upper elementary through early high school just for you. I hope you’ll find it useful as you do what we all do — turn another event into a homeschool lesson!

Feel free to use these Winter Olympics resources to create your own unit study. Here are some instructions for how to do that. Or simply pick through a few activities and tack them onto your days leading up to and during the Winter Olympics.
