Are you in need of a devotional for Lent?

I shared recently that my sweet friend, Candace Crabtree, from His Mercy Is New, was releasing her next book for praying the Scriptures. The new book is called Wait Only Upon God: 40 Days of Praying the Scriptures in the Waiting.  I wanted to mention it again because I think it’s just perfect for Lent, which begins on February 18.

From the Author

God’s Word has a lot to say about waiting on Him. I hope you will join me on this 40 day journey as we seek Him above all else and dig into His Word together praying the scriptures about waiting.  Don’t forget to join us beginning Feb. 18th for 40 days of learning to wait on the Lord! I will be sharing daily tidbits and Scriptures on Instagram from this devotional. Follow the hashtag #prayingthescriptures

Wait Only Upon God: Your Stories

Wait Only Upon God is 40 Days of Scripture, short readings, prayers, and a space for journaling. It’s the perfect devotional for Lent or any time of the year. Any time you find yourself in the position of waiting upon God. Soon, I, along with several more of Candace’s friends will be sharing about times in our lives when we were desperately waiting on God. I will be sharing about our years of infertility and our miraculous adoption. I can only imagine how incredibly inspiring the other stories will be. You can follow along with this post at His Mercy Is New.

I am so thrilled to have this beautiful devotional to use during Lent as we wait upon Jesus.

Does your family have traditions for Lent? I’d love to hear what you’ll be doing as we wait upon Jesus this Lenten season.
