5 Great Gifts for Active Teen Boys
Please share!
I’ve been looking around at the gift lists on Pinterest for teen boys and I see tons of ideas that seem to insinuate teen boys spend most of their time indoors. And while I did put together a list of science gifts for teen boys, make no mistake, this teen boy of mine prefers to be outside and active.
So I thought I would take a moment to put together a list of gifts ideas for active/outdoorsy teen boys, like mine. Some of these may be in my Amazon cart for Ben, so everybody shhhhhhhhhhh.
This portable game rose to fame on Shark Tank and is all the rage for good reason. It’s fun! On our recent vacation, Ben played it on the beach with new friends. I could see taking it camping, to youth group activities, birthday parties, or just setting it up in the front yard (all the neighborhood kids will want to play at your house!).
Ben spends about half his time asking me to record him doing something — skateboarding, flipping in front yard, and his latest passion — parkour. How fun would it be for him to be able to easily record these activities from his own vantage point. Teen boys will LOVE this camera! It has mounts for helmets, bikes, and more!
This backpack caught my attention for a variety of reasons. Ben often bikes to a friend’s house or other activities and it’s sometimes a bit precarious if he has gear he wants to take with him. So many backpacks can be heavy. This one appears to fit the bill well for a lightweight (and waterproof) backpack that would be great for biking, hiking, camping, or the beach. And at under $20, the price is right!
Ben has had this Ripstik for a few years now and gets as much enjoyment out of it now as when he first received it. Be sure to pick up some protective gear like a helmet and knee and elbow pads, too.
And a bonus 6th great gift idea is this Go Anywhere Quick Dry Hoodie from Tommy Johns (I know, you thought they only sold underwear!). Your active boy will be grateful for its moisture-wicking fabric that also diminishes odor. Ben loves the zippered pockets that keep his valuables safe while he runs. It’s super soft and comfy as well.
What’s on your list for your active teen boy? I’m going to need a few more ideas!
