8 Wonderful Gifts for Tea Lovers
Please share!
If you came over to my house for a cup of tea, I would have a wide selection of flavors to offer. I love hot (and iced) tea, and over the past several years have become quite a tea taster.
So, if you have tea lovers on your gift list this Christmas, you’ll want to know about my favorite tea company — Adagio Teas. I’ve been purchasing teas from Adagio for about 7 or 8 years and they are THE best.
If you have never brewed whole tea leaves as opposed to grocery store tea bags, you’re in for a real treat. The best way I can describe it is this: brewing loose tea leaves is like opening a fresh bag of potato chips and eating the crisp, fresh chips (you can’t eat just one, right?), and using grocery store tea bags is like eating the little dusty crumbs at the bottom of the bag. Basically, tea bags are made from tea dust. Loose leaf tea (and especially the tea from Adagio) is more robust and flavorful. You can really tell the difference! And Adagio hand-packs all of their teas, and they are picky about the growers who grow the teas. The quality is outstanding.
A few facts that set Adagio Teas apart:
Did you know there are numerous health benefits associated with drinking tea? From weight loss to cancer prevention, healthier teeth to treating allergy symptoms, tea is good for you!
The selection at Adagio is vast, but I have tried many of them. Here are a few of my favorites:
They have severalsample sets(which is how I first started out and discovered some wonderful flavors I would never have tried). The sample sets are a great way to get started experimenting with different teas.
I also have several of Adagio’s tea ware items and they have lasted years with much use. If you are planning to purchase yummy teas for your tea lovers, you’ll want to include a nice tea ware gift to go along. Here are a few of my favorites from my own personal collection:
I use this electric kettle practically every day. And not just for tea. Any time you need a pot of boiling water — for tea, hot chocolate, coffee, soup and more, this kettle will come in handy. It’s much quicker than boiling on top of the stove and is just as fast as a microwave (without the added dangers of using a microwave). The most amazing thing is that it has different temperature settings so when you are warming water for green tea (boiling is too hot), the water will be the exact temperature you need.
This teapot is my favorite. You simply fill it with the tea leaves and water and allow it to brew. When the tea is ready, simply place it on top of your cup. This causes a valve at the bottom to release and the tea flows into your cup, while the mesh filter retains all the leaves. Super easy to clean and dishwasher safe. They also sell this smaller, more personal sized ingenuiTEA pot.
The tea is delivered in bags and you can store them in the bags, but I love these beautiful tins for a couple of reasons. First of all, it’s convenient and takes up less cupboard space. They also keep the tea secure (no accidental spills from bags that didn’t seal), with an easy-to-fasten latch. And finally, the tins provide an air-tight seal, keeping the teas fresh for months. You can also buy them in a 4 oz size.
This is the easiest way to make iced tea. You simply fill the pitcher with water, add a pouch of tea and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Voila! You have delicious iced tea. This set includes the pitcher and 6 pouches (but not the glasses — they are sold separately).
For about 3 years, my husband blessed me with this gift every year for Christmas. I loved it so much! Each month, new tins of tea arrived on my doorstep. New flavors, new tea experiences, and new favorites! I can’t imagine any tea lover would not love this gift as much as I did!
Display your teas beautifully, making them easy to access, in this chrome-plated wire rack. The rack comes stocked with six tea varieties. Refills start at just $8 per box. I don’t actually have this item, but I think it’s beautiful and would make a great starter gift when introducing a friend or loved one to Adagion Teas.
If you’re not sure what to buy for your tea loving friend, this would be a great gift. The price is reasonable and she would receive my 2 favorite things — the teapot and 4 samples of tea.
This is my travel companion cup and infuser. It combines a porcelain cup with a lid and stainless steel infuser. To prepare tea, simply place leaves inside the infuser and fill the cup with hot water. When done, remove the infuser (the cover doubles as a coaster) and enjoy a perfect cup of tea wherever, and whenever, the mood strikes. It’s also available in orange , red, black, brown, and white.
Do you have a tea lover in your life? Or are you one? I promise, you will not be disappointed with any of the products from Adagio. If you try them, tell me what you think!
