I’m taking a break from my weekly #abcblogging word studies to share a very important project with you this week.

Help-Raiser Translate

Help Translate Apologia Science Books

I’m joining with HSLDA, Apologia and the 2:1 Conference in support of an effort to raise funds which will be used to translate some of Apologia’s homeschool texts into another language. How cool is that? I mean really, how often do we get an opportunity to make such an impact on the other side of the world?

I know you’re wondering about CLEAN? Well, it stands for Certain Large East Asian Nation.

You see, families in this nation are homeschooling underground, because it is not exactly legal. So we can’t use the actual name of the country or tell you the language. We’re just calling it “CLEAN” for short.

Last year a homeschool mom from Pennsylvania contacted Apologia about helping homeschool families in CLEAN get homeschool texts in their own language. Christian  homeschool families in this country are using whatever resources they could get their hands on, but you can imagine how hard it must be when you are not supported in your homeschooling efforts. God has opened a way for Apologia to do just that. But they need our help!

Will you join me?

Will you join me  in the help-raising campaign to translate Apologia science books for families in CLEAN who homeschool underground? We are so blessed in this country to be able to homeschool out in the open with so many incredible resources literally at our fingertips. Can you even imagine trying to do that with texts that are all in a language you don’t speak?

The translation of each book costs around $8000 and we hope you will  donate enough to translate two science textbooks for use by the over 10,000 homeschooling families in this growing movement. If everyone reading this post donates just $5, imagine what a difference that will make! That’s one fancy cup of coffee. I think most all of us can afford that.

Extra Incentive

As an added incentive, I will personally match funds donated by my readers, up to $100. That means your $5 will become $10 immediately! Just enter this blog’s URL (benandme.com) when asked where you learned of the help-raiser.

If you donate $5 or more, you will be eligible to win one of the prizes donated from the partners listed below.

Prizes for Individuals Include:

  • (1) year membership to HSLDA
  • (3) year high school transcript membership help from HSLDA
  • (1) $50 Gift Cards from Apologia

  • (2) How to have a HEART for your kids
  • (2) Veggie Tales DVD
  • (1) Constitutional Literacy DVD Series + Notebook

We will raise funds through this help-raiser from 5/15 to 6/14 and hope and pray to be able to start the process of translating the books right away.

Thank you for anything you can do to help this effort. Even sharing this post will help. There are links at the bottom to make that easy peasy for you!
