Two things I love most in homeschooling — unit studies and free. Add gorgeous spring weather to the mix, and I just couldn’t be happier. Although I love putting together my own unit studies, sometimes it’s just nice when someone else has done the work for you.
One of the best resources available to frugal homeschool families is Homeschool Share. Do you know about HSS?
Imagine a bunch of your homeschool friends got together, everyone wrote some unit studies and then someone (in this case her name is Ami) compiled them all, designed lovely lapbooks for many of them, and then distributed them for free to anyone and everyone who wanted to them (and not just homeschoolers).
Now you have a picture in your mind of Homeschool Share is. But believe, me your mind’s eye just scratched the surface. Whatever you are imagining, multiply that by about a thousand.
Now you’re getting the idea.
I thought I’d share some of our favorite spring-ish unit studies from Homeschool Share. Most of these are literature-based, so get your library cards ready; you’ll need them!
