Are you familiar with Grapevine Studies?

Grapevine Studies is the leading Bible study for kids method and curriculum for devoted teachers designed to help them simplify planning, engage students, and grow disciples. Grapevine Studies publishes Bible studies for kids of all ages using a “stick figuring through the Bible” method whereby students learn the major characters and events through hearing the Bible, stick figuring the passage, and answering questions about lessons. The method for young children is Hear-Draw-Review.

Once students reach first grade they are introduced to the timeline of biblical characters and events. The first lesson in these studies are the timeline, then each subsequent lesson relates to a character or event on the timeline. The method for older students is Read-Draw-Review. With each progressive age, students are introduced to more Scripture, basic Bible geography, and how to use Bible study skills such as a Bible dictionary.

It is not necessary to use Grapevine Studies in any particular order. You can choose to study them seasonally, based on the interest of your students, or in chronological order. If you’re unsure of where to start, they make suggestions on the website and even have this handy little chart to help:

Our personal preference has been to use Grapevine Studies seasonally. A couple of years ago, we used the Birth of Jesus study for our Advent devotionals. Over the past few years, we have used the Biblical Feasts and Holy Days study to learn about Jewish holidays. Now Grapevine has a beautiful new calendar that would be a wonderful complement to the Biblical Feasts study. These resources would be great for any family, even if you already have another Bible study you prefer.

Since Passover and Easter are on the horizon, I would highly recommend this trio of studies — The Birth of Jesus, The Resurrection, and Joseph, in addition to the Calendar and Biblical Feasts study mentioned above:

Joseph Studies

Walk alongside your students as they journey with Joseph from a prince in Canaan, to a slave in Egypt, to the courts of Pharaoh. Your students will be introduced to Joseph when he is seventeen years old as he leaves the tents of Jacob to serve in the house of Potiphar. Your students will see how Joseph reacted to his slavery and false accusations and how God used difficult circumstances in Joseph’s life to prepare him to save thousands of people, including those who mistreated him. Joseph’s story is one of betrayal, forgiveness, and restoration.

The Birth of Jesus

Take your students back to the first century and walk them through the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. Beginning in Nazareth, you will introduce your students to Mary and Joseph as they learn the news that they will be parents to Jesus, the Messiah!

Your students will stick figure the birth of Jesus and learn more about the shepherds, angels, and Wise Men. They will map the journeys of Joseph and Mary as they travel from Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Egypt, and back to Nazareth.

The Resurrection

Sit with your students as they listen in on the conversation between Jesus and His disciples as they shared the Last Supper together. Walk with them as they see Jesus being tried, beaten, crucified, and finally dying on the cross. Then share with your students the joy of the disciples when they learn that Jesus rose from the dead. Your Bible study concludes with the last words of instruction Jesus gave to His disciples before He ascended to heaven. Help your students put the Easter story together like never before!

The 40% off sale covers all of the Student Books and Student eBooks published by Grapevine Studies. This will be their biggest sale of 2017. It’s a great time to stock up on Bible studies for the whole family or even your small group or church school class.
