It’s been a beautiful day. Beginning with breakfast in bed for me, followed by an awesome time of worship, and ending with steaks on the grill in honor of my mother, it’s been a good day.
Ben went home with Nana after dinner tonight. A gift to me from Mom, a couple of days to myself (hubby will be traveling this week) so that I can do some more work around the house without the normal distractions of homeschooling mommyhood. I appreciate that so much.
This morning as Ben and I were snuggling in bed, I told him (again) about how important he is. How the reason I am a mommy is because of him. How amazing he is and how amazed I am that God granted me the gift of being his mommy. He’s heard it all before….pretty much every Mother’s Day at the least, but he still gets this sweet look in his eyes and snuggles up closer to me. I hope this is something that he’ll always remember…..that he made my dreams come true. I know in my heart this is the most important, most fulfilling, most satisfying thing I’ll do in my life. I pray every day not to mess it up. So far, so good, I think.
I love being Ben’s mommy.
Here are few pictures of Ben and me throughout the years. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing them, as much as I enjoy sharing them.
