I love scouring the internet, looking at pictures of homeschool rooms. I’m often inspired by the amazing, creative ways that homeschool moms utilize the spaces in their homes — both large and small — to educate their children. We are blessed to have an extra bedroom that we have set aside as our “homeschool room.” But I must admit that we don’t really spend a lot of time homeschooling in there.

So today, I thought I would show some pictures of our homeschool spaces. Yes, spaces, plural. Because while we have this lovely homeschool room, complete with a computer desk, printing station, sofa for reading, maps, bookshelves, and a storage closet . . .

. . . you’re just as likely to find Ben on the family room sofa, with his lap desk or my laptop . . .

. . . or outside on the deck or under a tree . . .

. . . or at the park observing nature . . .

. . . or maybe at a local church taking an art class with Barry Stebbing . . . (yes, THE Barry Stebbing, live and in person)

. . . or in the kitchen taking an online cooking class.

Sometimes, our classroom is in a hotel room. Here, Ben is working on a unit study online in a hotel room, when we were traveling with Dad. With our laptop, iPad,  Kindle, and a math book, we can take homeschool on the road anywhere, with relative ease!

Of course, when we do travel with Dad, we’re not just hanging out in our “hotel” classrooms! Of course not! We get out and explore! Field trips are a huge part of our homeschooling.

The whole world (or at least the United States) is our HOMESCHOOL CLASSROOM! And who knows, we may expand beyond our borders in the coming years!

Tell me about your homeschool classroom. Do you have a room or space set aside? Or much like us, is the world your classroom, too?
