Ugh! We have come to that one letter of the alphabet that is nearly impossible to blog. In fact, the first go-round with Blogging through the Alphabet only 4 people linked up with me.

I was actually quite proud of my post back then — X is for . . . well,  X! I wish I could just re-do that one. I could just ask you to click over and look at it now and let that count for this week’s entry, right?

I guess that would be cheating. But, here I sit, about 17 minutes before this post is supposed to go live, wondering what on earth to blog about. So, while I think about it, I’m just rambling on here. Do you ever do that? Just talk (or in this case, write) until the idea comes to you?

Maybe that’s just me.

I could also cheat by using a word that begins with eX — eXasperated comes to mind at the moment.

Or how about eXcellent, eXtraordinary, or eXceptional. That’s what it will be if I come up with an X word in the next 14 minutes (yes, the clock is ticking away).

I know! How about X marks the spot!

Now to find a spot to mark. Within 11 minutes.

I wish I could come up with a clever way to work in xylophone. I used to love playing the xylophone when I was a little girl. Did you ever play the xylophone? Remember how you had to hit the keys with the mallet just the right way to get the notes to sound perfect? I never was very good at that. But I just loved all the colors!

X-ray. Now that’s a great X word. But thankfully, we haven’t needed any x-rays lately. Well, except for dental x-rays. Don’t you just hate those bite-wings?

No cavities here, so I don’t really have anything exciting to share with you about the last time I had x-rays.

Oh wait a minute, that reminds me of something!!

We have a cool app for our iPad called X-Ray! Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I didn’t think about this one sooner. I could have spared you all my rambling!

The X-ray app takes a look inside 26 everyday objects — from A to Z. You can see the inner workings of an alarm clock, motorcycle, a human hand, a vacuum, a Jack-in-the-Box, and an onion, among other things. Along with the x-ray image, there is a description or history to go along with each image. Ben loves loves loves this app and so do I. So be sure to go check it out. It’s $1.99 well spent!

Whew — 3 minutes to spare!

Now, I challenge you, my friends. Blog about the letter X. If I can do it, so can you. And then, come link up with me. I double dog dare you!
