In January, 2012, I began another blog, Bought with a Price, to journal my efforts to get healthier, manage my Lupus, and maybe even lose weight. That was 7 months ago, and while my intentions were good, the time commitment was just too much, to manage 2 blogs with all of the other responsibilities I have. There hasn’t been much progress on the blog, or in my journey to better health.
So I am shutting down that blog (not the Facebook page, though) and moving most of the content I wrote over to this blog. I will publish it over the next couple of months, and create a “Bought with a Price” feature here at Ben and Me.
Once I have published all of the old content, I will begin adding new content to this feature. My resolve to continue in the journey to better health is renewed and I hope you will join me.
Here is the post that began that blog in January, 2012 . . .
Hello everyone. I’m Marcy and I’m fat. How’s that for an introduction? I’m not sure how many times I’ve started over again. 10, 20, 100 times or more?!?
“If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.” That’s the saying, right?
So, here I am, trying again, starting over, feeling motivated. I can do this. I know I can.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:13
I have gained and lost and gained and lost a lot of weight in my lifetime. But a diagnosis of Lupus last year and all of the joint pain that accompanies that has me in a position where I must lose weight to help me feel better.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” ~1Corinthians 6:19-20
