I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but I’m always picking up “freebies,” downloading them and then forgetting they’re there. Or sometimes it’s a really great Currclick sale, where everything is so cheap or free, so you just have to get it for “later,” but then “later” you completely forget about it!
In my commitment to decrease our budget at home, I’ve been scouring my hard drive for resources and I am shocked at the wonderful ebooks and lapbooks I have downloaded over the past 3-4 years that have gone unused because I forgot about them.
Take a look at some of what I found!
Journey Through Learning Inside My Body Unit Study
Journey Through Learning The Great Inventors Lapbook/Unit Study
Knowledge Box Central Ancient Rome Lapbook
Knowledge Box Central Ancient Egypt Lapbook
Handle on the Arts The Architecture of Ancient Egypt Activity Pack
Handle on the Arts The Life and Art of Leonardo da Vinci Activity Pack
Fortunately for You Books Canada: A Mini Lapbook
Several Sets of Notebooking pages for Amanda Bennett Unit Studies
In the Hands of a Child Project Packs on Automobiles, Snow, Penguins, Deer, Bees, Bats, Birds, Horses, Kangaroos, Pigs, Lions, Zebras, and Sled Dogs (among others).
Oh, and I while I was at the HOAC website to provide you a link, I downloaded their current freebie, First Wives of the United States!
This is just crazy! Several of these resources can be used with units we are doing right now (Olympics and Space), and several more with units we’ll be finishing out our year enjoying.
So I guess the lesson here is, when you are looking for something fun to go along with whatever you are teaching your kids, maybe look on your hard drive before scouring the internet!
I’ve gone ahead and printed out everything I think we’ll use for the rest of this school year. Hopefully, that will help me to use these items instead of leaving them unused on my hard drive!
