And so begins the story of how I used to write another blog.
It was called Juicing Momma. Maybe you’ve heard of it?
I began writing Juicing Momma early in 2013 when I attempted a 40-day juice fast to help heal my body of Lupus and Fibromyalgia. The fast lasted 26 days (still pretty good, if you ask me — and since this is about me, you should!). I blogged several times during the course of that fast, and a few times after.
Since that time, I have struggled with continuing on that healthier path. #facepalm — I know. Juicing (and blending) is something I absolutely believe is essential for me. But it’s been forever since I’ve done it with any kind of regularity. I’m not sure why that it is, but it’s on my to-do list to figure that out.
Because I’ve been so lax with juicing, I haven’t blogged at Juicing Momma in quite some time, and spammers were beginning to attack (it was hosted on Blogger, if that matters to you), so I’ve decided to migrate those posts over to Ben and Me and give Juicing Momma her own category tag instead of her own blog.
For now, you can find all of the older Juicing Momma posts here. If you’re not sure where to start, My Story is a good place. If you just want recipes, they’re here
So, if you’re a juicing momma, or you want to be, there are several posts here full of tips and recipes to help. There will be more to come as I get back in the swing of juicing (and blending). Because getting into the habit is my ultimate goal. My resolve has not waned, even if my diligence has. I still believe that using juicing and blending as a part of my diet — with occasional longer term juice fasts — holds the key to my healing. Join me as I endeavor to discover why it’s so hard to keep at it, and hopefully overcome the barrier that has squelched me.
